Poppy was our singleton puppy from our frozen semen breeding of Piper to Norman. The second she was born, we just *knew* she was going to be a special little Vizsla... 

Poppy was raised with a litter of 2 Toller puppies that were only 5 days older than her, so she never really grew up thinking she was a singleton. When she was 9 weeks old , she left NC for her adventure in CO to live with Leah, Aaron, her mom, Piper, and uncle Dante. We had great things planned for her, but she really went on to exceed our expectations. When she was 8 months, we took her to Nationals with the intention of her placing in her BBE class... but she went on to WIN the BBE class, and WIN Reserve Winner's Bitch to finish her championship, completely owner/breeder handled out of BBE, in only 3 total show outings. She finished her GCH almost entirely owner-handled by her mom, Leah, including multiple BOB wins! She won an AOM at her 2nd VCA National at the tender age of 19 months old. Shortly after turning 2 years of age, Poppy attended her 3rd ever Specialty (and only second as a special), and WON BISS at the RMVC Fall Specialty!!! She and her young babies also won a lovely 3rd place Brood Bitch Class at the VCA 2020 National in a line up of gorgeous momma-dogs.  She continues to show selectively with her Mom as they have become quite the Team in the ring, just a few points shy of a Bronze GCH title! 

Aside from being pretty, Poppy has shown a lot of promise in the field and has become quite the little bird dog with a beautiful natural retrieve, skillful nose, and eager work ethic. She has fully embraced all the hunts and birds CO has to offer. She started the breaking process prior to her first litter and has 1 SH pass to date.  She also has an intense love for water, and attained her Dock Senior title in one weekend with impressive distance jumps! 

Poppy's first litter to Madsen (The PopStars) produced versatile puppies, full of natural field ability including two NAVHDA NA I and II prized puppies and grace in the ring, with pick male of the litter winning Reserve Winner's Dog at the VCA National in 2020 at just six months old! 
 
Plans for Poppy? She will make select appearances as a special, and continue training towards the goal of achieving her MH!
