JB When writing about JB, it's hard knowing where to begin... from the day he picked me out at his breeder's, I knew he was going to be a special dog. He did anything and everything asked of him, always accompanied with a wagging tail and a huge smile on his face. He talked/moaned/gurgled constantly, and always had a toy in his mouth. He was my heart dog, and I am honored to have been able to share him with other breeders who have incorporated him into their breeding programs. I am forever indebted to his breeder, Carol Phelps, for this very special boy...
Simply put, JB was truly a once in a lifetime kind of dog.
As a show dog, JB finished his Championship in limited showing with three majors, always owner/handled to his wins. After he finished, he was shown as a Junior's dog by Michael Mentasti, and together they were ranked as the number 1 Vizsla Junior Handler team. Around 3 years of age, I took JB back out for some light specialing, which ranked him as a top 15 Vizsla in the country, along with several group placements and a Group 1. For fun, we went to Canada for a week of showing, where he walked away with Back-to-Back Group 1's, a Group 2, and a Group 4, along with his Canadian Championship. He was a BISS winner, multiple Specialty AOM winner, Specialty BOS winner, and attained his Grand Championship at almost 8 years of age.
As a producer, JB qualified for his ROM title from the Vizsla Club of America. His kids continue to make us proud, with their titles ranging from Grand Champions to Certified Therapy Dogs, and everything in between. Above all, they exemplify biddable and sound temperaments, and are loving companions to their families.
When JB passed, he left a void in my life that I'll never be able to replace. He was my best friend, the most gentle and reliable dog, and a pillar for my breeding program. I owe him more than I could ever express to him in words... I miss him beyond comprehension.
JB as a Daddy...
We are honored to have JB chosen as a sire for other breeders and their breeding programs. His kids continue to represent him in every venue they conquer, and we truly couldn't ask for more. Thank you to all the breeders that have used JB, and to all the wonderful families that have his babies.
