​Ellie was an unexpected addition to our family, and had quite an adventure before she ended up with us. She was bred by Carol and Bruce Phelps of Szizlin Vizslas, out of a litter sired by our boy JB; when her home fell through and she came back to the east coast, we decided to pick her up and take her home for a "trial"... well needless to say, Ellie earned her place in our hearts and her trial was relatively short-lived.



Ellie's temperament is truly bomb-proof - she is confident, bold, silly, and knows no strangers. She enters every venue with confidence and a wagging tail, and her desire to please and do everything asked of her is how she got her nickname of being "the perfect queen"... she also rules our house and keeps everyone in order! She exudes versatility, despite my inept handling in agility and obedience, but she makes me look good and is very forgiving when I mess us up!

Ellie was shown on a very limited basis throughout 2012 on the road to her championship, and finished rather quickly with three majors, going over specials on several occasions. She began her specials career in October of 2013 only 9 weeks after having her first litter, and the rest quickly became history... she attained her PLATINUM Grand Championship and was America's Number One Vizsla (All-Systems) for three consecutive years. Ellie accumulated 12 group wins, over 40 group placements, 24 career best in specialty awards, and several other accolades. She and I were a force in the ring, but it was our unwavering love for each other that made the dream team real.

Aside from Ellie's accomplishments, it has been the impact she made in the whelping box that sets her apart. Ellie was bred three times, and her kids have gone on to be nationally and internationally recognized. She has produced a total of 4 BISS winners, a National BISS winner, multiple group placing kids, dogs that have gone on to compete in a multitude of venues, and most importantly - animals with phenomenal temperaments that enrich the lives of their families. Her grandkids likewise continue to make us proud and represent our breeding program well. We love our Ellie, and are lucky beyond a reasonable doubt that we were given the opportunity to be owned by her.
